Notes: Let's look at the red flags... email received from an academic domain in Thailand, I would have expected the UN to be based in New York or possibly Geneva or Zurich, Switzerland. Thailand does not fit as being the place such a presigeous organisation was based. The e-mail is sent to many recipients. The Reply addresses are iunocb.dept247@outlook.com and un.antonioguterres1949@outlook.com. The UN and especially it's principal officer do not use free email accounts provided by outlook.com.

A Google search shows there isn't a UN body called the "United Nations Organization Compensation Board (UNOCB)". There was however a United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) which was created in 1991 to deal with compensation in connection with the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. The body ceased it's operations in 2022. So the UNOCB has been invented as part of the scam.

The e-mail was automatically marked as spam, just delete. Sad to say there will be some people somewhere who will fall for this scam
