Vehicle Tax Renewal Notification Scam

Red flags everywhere pointing to this being a phishing scam email and not a genuine email from the Vehicle Taxation authorities.

E-Mail received:

Date: 12/04/2026, 21:36

From: DVLA Notification srahnewton@3three.com.br

To: srahnewton@3three.com.br

Action Required: Direct Debit Payment Update

Notes: The sender email address: srahnewton@3three.com.br is a Brazillian domain name, very unusual for an email supposedly coming from a UK Government department.

The email isn't individually sent to the recipient, only as a bcc nor is he/she personally addressed, only addressed as "user". No mention is made of the vehicle model or registration nor of the amount of the direct debit.

The click through address: https://s.blitarkota.go.id/w3qji2 is unlikely to be a genuine DVLA page since the domain name is Indonesian.

Recommendation: Do not click on the link. Delete the email.
