paypal verification scam

Notes

"Red Flags"

1. Sender email address noreply@ppaaal-3847e.firebaseapp.com. Paypal would use a paypal.com email address and is ppaaal meant to trick you into thinking it is paypal?

2. Click through web address https://login.paypails.net/. Notice "paypails" instead of "paypal" easy to misread. Paypails.net had only been regsistered a few hours before sending the email.

3. General wording... does not read quite right. A genuine paypal email is likely to explain in more detail the security update and the nature of the phone verification.

If you have any concerns that you might be missing an important paypal security update login to your paypal account in the normal way through the official Paypal website and see if there are any notifications there.

Recommendation:

Just delete the e-mail.
