X Phishing Scam
A warning email from X (formerly known as Twitter) advising you that someone has accessed your account from Bali, Indonesia and if that person isn't you that you should click on the link(s) in the email and change your password. If you clicked on the link you would be entering your x login credentials in a fake website, you would lose control of your x account to scammers to be used for illegal purposes
E-Mail received:
Date: 13/09/2026, 17:36
From: X Security contact@fidegn.eu
To: [E-mail address redacted]
Reply to: reply-to@fidegn.eu
Subject: Security Alert: Immediate review needed for recent account activity.
Notes: The sender and reply to e-mail addresses do not seem what you might expect of an email from X. The fidegn.eu domain would be an unusual choice of email domain for a US company such as X
The click through link "Change your password" (in face the entire email is an image linking to https://link.fidegn.eu/security which as pointed out above is unlikely to be an official website address associated with X
An hour later we received an identically worded email (it would be the same image!) this time from contact@lacens.eu and the click through link to https://link.lacens.eu/security this would be another fake X login page.
Recommendation: Just delete the e-mail do not click on the link.
