Terminally Ill Benefactor Scam

This very sad tale tells of a widow who lost both her husband and child five years previously and then to make things worse she has discovered that she has terminal cancer. In her final weeks or maybe only days she wishes to do good and needs someone (the recipient of the e-mail) to help distribute her fortune to the poor and needy in Africa and other continents (only Antarctica is absent) ... a very noble gesture. The whole story is a complete fabrication. It is quite an old story with just slight variations, amount of money, how old she is and where she claims to be living.

Let's find out what "she" has to say and a warning you might find the e-mail distressing.

Dear Esteemed Recipient,

I am Agnes Schulze, a Munich, Germany resident, and a widow. At 51 years old, I have dedicated my life to humanitarian efforts. Regrettably, I am currently battling breast cancer, and my health is declining rapidly. My medical team has stressed the severity of my condition.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of my husband and only child five years ago. My husband's death was politically motivated. He was a prosperous oil magnate in West Africa, engaged in the trade of oil, gold, and diamonds. After his passing, I inherited his business and wealth.

Realizing the limited time I have left, I have chosen to allocate a portion of this wealth to assist the less fortunate in Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. While perusing the internet, I stumbled upon your email address. I have decided to donate $17,500,000.00 USD for humanitarian and charitable causes. This sum is currently held in a private bank in Africa, specifically the Standard Trust Bank Ltd, under your supervision.

If you are interested in partnering with me on this endeavor, please reply for further information via my private email

Notes: Don't believe for a single moment that you will receive any portion of the money promised. When I did not respond to the first email the person pretending to be the terminally ill patient Mrs Agnes Schultze decided to use their second "standard e-mail" as though I had replied to the first e-mail.

Key points... her pitiable situation her wish to do good and for you to benefit by helping her. How many people receiving the US$17.5 million would restrict their share to 20% and not keep the whole amount? But that does not matter as there is no money that might be transferred to you only advance fees that you would be asked to pay to lawyers and other officials to ensure the transfer of the funds. Pay the first request and more requests will follow until you give up. You will never see the promised funds because they don't exist.

Request for your personal details... getting you to respond and feel that you are participating in and facilitating this endeavour. Your details could be used in an id fraud or just added to details on a "sucker list" of persons who have fallen for scams. Your details may even be passed to scammers who will pretend to be organisations that can help you get money back that you have been defrauded, only to scam you further.

Note that your e-mail address has been included as a bcc in probably a long list of e-mail addresses included in an e-mail sent from and to vezdarna26@betterspecs.org Betterspecs.org is a website which I doubt she has any connection to and has probably been hacked to obtain an e-mail address. You are asked to reply to a Gmail address because the betterspecs.org address could be closed down at any time.

Recomendation: Don't reply, just delete the e-mail, block the e-mail address if it is easy for you to do.
